The Spring Statement has revealed that £95 million of the full fibre challenge fund has now been allocated to a lucky 13 areas of the UK.

We published our first dataset for peak time speeds that match the shortly to arrive 8pm to 10pm advertising window last month based on the analysis of a full years speed tests and for the products which are the most popular we can show monthly results.

The overall coverage figures suggest nothing has much changed for broadband coverage in the last month and compared to the pace of roll-out in 2017 things are much quieter. The change has been in the amount of full fibre and it may be as more people are trained that we will see the overall figures rise faster than the new build homes are pushing it backwards.

With 1 in 4 new premises built in 2017 not having access to superfast broadband, all the hard work and public money spent on pushing to the 95% target is set to be undone unless things change very quickly for new homes.

Our analysis of speed tests seen for UK broadband services in February completed during the morning of the 1st March so we can share the top 60 services.

While we are still waiting for the procurement processes to determine what will happen with the next three lots to deliver more superfast broadband across Wales, the Welsh Assembly has members being given various stats on what has been delivered.

There is one more quarter of reporting on the number of premises delivered via the BDUK projects across the UK and then the DCMS is ceasing publication. This dataset, along with ours have charted the progress of the public funded roll-outs since 2012.

The delivery of full fibre is seen as critical to keeping the UK at the forefront of the digital economy hence the number of times its mentioned by Ministers, Ofcom and providers and today a key milestone has been reached.
