Mixed Technology — The social tariff is based on the Sky Full Fibre 75, Full Fibre 150 or Superfast 35/80 Part Fibre, or Essentials Plus Copper ADSL packages. Speeds shown are best available but you need to check availability with Sky.

Social Tariff Eligibility — The bill-payer needs to be in receipt of one of these benefits. Only available for existing Sky Broadband customers.

Probably not Sky's fault but OpenReach's. Have been promised full fibre is coming but am stuck with a miserable 25MBPS (at best)

I think it's shabby that the regulator allows service providers to claim they provide a certain speed when that speed is only available to their own router, i.e. never to the user as a usable download speed. I could barely get 20Mb on a, supposedly, 1Gbit service with the router the provider supplied. Adding my own router to the mix gets me 250-350Mb - still not the 1Gb though. Why does the regulator allow this?
