You need to select a Usage Profile which best describes how much you think you will download from the Internet. If you are unsure, you should probably select "Home Light" or "Home Medium". It may be worth discussing this with other members of your household as some activity (e.g. downloading movies online) can increase the usage significantly. This setting will NOT affect the pricing for 'unlimited' packages.

Migration Support |
Unknown
Migration is the process of moving a broadband service from one ISP to another, usually minimising the amount of disruption in the process. Inbound migration means your ISP will allow you to transfer to their service from another ISP. Outbound migration means you can transfer from their service to another ISP. If your ISP doesn't support migration, you would need to cancel your broadband service, wait until it's removed from your line and then re-order with another ISP. This may cost most and will result in a longer period of no connectivity.
We recommend you choose an ISP which support both inbound and outbound migration. |

Gigabit speed and local support means a super service with typical repair times of four hours although it doe snot fail as often as my copper wire service used to drop out The best (broadband) move I've ever made Anyone who is lucky enough to be in the area covered by B4RN (Broadband for the Rural North Ltd) should seriously consider using them. The speeds recorded by this test do not do them justice as my laptop will only handle 100Mbs. They only charge £30 per month and for that they deliver Fibre To The Premises with speeds over 1000Mbs for both download AND UPLOAD. The upload speed only matters if you need to send a lot of data - but if you want to live in an idyllic country location and run a business that needs faster internet access than central London, then go for it !
I am 'over the moon' with the service I have received over the last 12-months -- the best broadband move I have ever made. Long live B4RN! I changed over to B4RN in December 2016 and never, ever regretted the change. No disconnections to date, excellent speeds up and down, good value and first-class customer service, what more could one ask for? |
I have been a B4RN customer for five years and have been delighted with their service. Not only is the 1000Mbs signal blisteringly fast but when I have a problem they help to find a solution even when it is nothing to do with them. For instance they advised me how to extend my wi-fi signal to rooms that were blocked by stone walls, helped me with software on my laptop etc. Their Friday afternoon drop-in computer club at their Melling headquarters is a brilliant idea. You don't get that sort of service from the major broadband providers!
