Cardiff has been described by Openreach as about to benefit from thousands of homes and businesses gaining access to some of the fastest broadband in Europe.

Openreach has announced Huawei and Nokia as the suppliers for its headend kit where the GPON FTTP networks are ran to before joining the core network.

The Gfast roll-out is set to reach another 370,000 premises in 59 more locations across the UK.

Openreach has been talking about its FTTP service as Gigabit capable for some time and at last the largest wholesaler in the form of BT Wholesale is showing availability and has pricing that comes into effect on 1st June 2018.
