More full fibre live in Uttlesford and Stansted area of Essex
More people who could not get a superfast connection of 30 Mbps or faster now have access to future proof full fibre courtesy of the Gigaclear roll-out in Essex. The Uttlesford district roll-out started in Birchanger but has now made it to the south east corner of Stansted Mountfitchet and for some premises that overlook the runway at Stansted.
Our availability checker has been updated and our broadband maps are updating as we type on the morning of 1st June 2019.
The roll-out looks set to expand with a number of postcodes in the area showing as network build in progress.
Essex is running at 94.1% superfast (30 Mbps or faster) availability, these latest full fibre figures escaped the latest coverage figures which were generated overnight since the Gigaclear coverage was only added after that run was completed. There was also some more FTTC in Ardleigh and Openreach FTTP in Bradwell-on-Sea.
