Altnets are new broadband networks which are challenging the incumbent providers. These may be smaller providers but larger altnets also exist.

Zzoomm

Summary

Zzoomm is a full fibre broadband provider that has made its mark by building its own infrastructure and targeting towns and semi‑rural areas often bypassed by the largest providers. They describe their offer as “Full Fibre all the way into your home,” which means the fibre optic cable runs right into the property rather than stopping at a street cabinet. That technical detail may not sound exciting but it means stronger performance, faster downloads, better uploads and fewer compromises. Zzoomm broadband are still growing their footprint but in places where they are live you may get excellent service.

Additional Comments

What many customers highlight is the clarity of Zzoomm’s offer. They list speed tiers such as 200 Mbps, 500 Mbps, 1000 Mbps (1 Gbps) and beyond, often with symmetrical upload and download speeds. They also promote free standard installation in many areas, a free router or Wi‑Fi hub and unlimited data. These features make the deal feel modern, transparent and aligned with what many homes require today: streaming, working from home, gaming and sharing across multiple devices.

That said, there are a few important things to check. Coverage is one of them. Because Zzoomm full fibre broadband build their own network and focus on particular towns and localities, you must check your exact address to ensure you are in a “live” area rather than “coming soon.” If you are in a region that has yet to be connected you may face wait times or limited speed options. Another point is your home setup. You might have a very fast line to the door but if your router is dated, Wi‑Fi signal is weak or you have an older building with thick walls, you might not feel the full benefit unless you upgrade some internal gear. Also while Zzoomm’s customer service reviews are often positive, you will still find some customers reporting slower fault resolution or delays, especially in newly built zones.

Customer feedback for Zzoomm is largely favourable in many places. Many users comment on polite, professional installation engineers, clean work and good performance once the line is live. In some review platforms Zzoomm’s full fibre broadband scores “Excellent” for overall satisfaction. On the flip side there are customers who have had frustration with support or speed not matching expectations. These cases tend to come from properties in newer parts of the rollout. As with many smaller, regional full‑fibre providers the experience can vary more than with a major national operator.

12 months now since I have had Zzoomm installed, for the last 8 months or so, Zzoomm reliability here have been superb, can;t complain at all. They do need to sort out their router, it is not great, but buy another router and all is fine.

Lots of very small maintenance periods, and a couple of long outages since I had it installed. But speeds are always the promised 1gig up and down so can't complain too much.

Been using ZZoomm for just over 2 month, speed is great and reliability is great, I do use my own router. As for customer service, I have not hade any need to use it yet. If zzoomm is available and if someone wants to go for FTTP, then I recommend Zzoomm.

Super fast with home 2000, 2Gbps symmetrical connection. No connection issues, great customer service when wanted to upgrade connection. Only downside is that there is no IPv6
