YouFibre

Summary

YouFibre is a broadband provider that has set out to shake up the UK market by offering full‑fibre connections, competitive pricing and fewer hidden fees. It stands out because the speeds advertised are symmetrical in many cases, meaning your upload speed matches your download speed. If you work from home, upload large files, stream often or play games online, that kind of symmetry can make a real difference. They have packages listed up to 8,000 Mb/s in some areas, which shows they are aiming for the high end of the market where the infrastructure allows it.

Additional Comments

What many users praise is the clarity around pricing and contract terms. YouFibre states that there are “fixed‑price plans”, “no in‑contract rises” and a loyalty promise so existing customers get the same deals as new ones. If those terms hold true in practice, it offers relief from some of the common frustrations in broadband contracts. On the technical side, when you are in a covered area you may experience very strong performance. Reports show that customers on the 1,000 Mb/s package often achieve speeds around 900‑950 Mb/s over wired connection, which is close to the promise.

That said, there are important things to verify before you subscribe. Coverage is still narrower than the major national networks. Although YouFibre aims to be available across many towns and cities, not every area is fully live yet and speed options may vary by postcode. You should check your exact address, confirm what speed packages are live there, what installation times are quoted and whether any extra work or costs apply. Also, your home network setup will impact real‑world performance. A blazing fibre line into your property won’t feel much better than an average one if your router is old, Wi‑Fi signal is weak or your home wiring is not optimised.

Another area to keep in mind is customer support and reliability. While YouFibre enjoys a strong reputation in many reviews, especially for installation simplicity and speed improvements, there are accounts of slower fault resolution or mixed support experiences. For example, some users mention wait times when issues arise or communication that could be better. If you rely heavily on your broadband for business, gaming or streaming and cannot tolerate extended disruption, it is worth asking about local service levels in your area.

Summarising it simply, YouFibre is a compelling choice if your address is covered and you want full‑fibre broadband that offers top‑tier speeds, transparent pricing and fewer surprises. It is especially suited for homes where upload speeds matter, multiple devices are active and you want more than just basic internet. On the flip side, if your area is outside their current footprint, if you are highly sensitive to downtime or need ultra‑high support across large premises, you might want to compare alternatives too.

Arranging and completing installation was straightforward. The engineer was knowledgeable. He finished quickly, cleaned up any mess, tested the connection from three places in the house and left us online. No issues since. Speed as promised ( I do check regularly), no disconnections or other errors.

Been with YouFibre for about a year. Have not had any issues at all. Connection speeds are as contracted for with no dips in speed and no connection issues. As a broadband should be, and at a reasonable price with no in contract price increases. I have no complaints about their service whatsoever.

The best ISP I have ever had by a long way

My Youfibre package is the best I have ever had. They came along to my area in the nick of time. Compared to VM, less cost and 6 times the down speed I was getting before and 500 times the up speed. Everything I wanted from my provider. 3 months in and no drop in speed, not like some providers I could mention.

Great so far, it’s been just over 3 weeks and it’s excellent, speeds are good, transferred terabytes of data so far with no issues. I opted for the fixed IP so port forwarding and pings where possible. Can’t fault them so far but will keep this updated.

Since switching over to Youfibre had no problems whatsoever. Getting continuous 150mb speeds, which is what I am paying for (at a reasonable price) without a problem.
