Quickline

Summary

Quickline broadband is an internet service provider focused on full fibre broadband and rural connectivity, especially in Yorkshire, Lincolnshire and surrounding regions. That local focus is one of their strengths. If you live in an area covered by their network, you can get high speeds and a provider that feels more personal than the big national broadband providers. The company has grown through significant investment and has secured funding to expand their fibre optic cables into hard to serve zones.

Additional Comments

When the network is live, Quickline broadband tends to deliver a solid experience. Installations get praise for being professional and tidy, with engineers turning up on time and doing the job. Many customers mention how clear and helpful the setup process was and how it felt like the provider really took care of the details. For users wanting full fibre broadband speeds where the infrastructure supports it, Quickline offers a credible alternative to the big brands. The fact that they are expanding their footprint means more homes are becoming eligible, which is promising.

That said, as with any provider dealing with new builds or rural areas, there are caveats. Coverage is still uneven in some postcode areas, and some customers have reported longer lead times or delays when the network build is in progress. Even in areas they serve, Wi‑Fi coverage inside the home can still be a limiting factor. A fast line to the house is only part of the picture; equipment, internal wiring and router placement matter too. If your property is large or has tricky layout issues, you may need to boost your internal network to get the full benefit.

Customer service is another mixed bag. Many praise the responsiveness of the installation teams and the local feel of the brand. At the same time, you’ll also find reports of slower resolution times or less than perfect follow‑up when a fault occurs. Since Quickline broadband is still scaling, that does mean experiences can vary. It’s worth asking about support terms, how quickly issues get fixed in your area and what guarantees are in place.

If you’re considering Quickline broadband you should check a few things. First, is your property eligible for their full fibre broadband service in your postcode? Next, what installation time scale are you looking at and will there be any special costs or site work required? Also, consider your in home setup: are your router, wiring and Wi‑Fi coverage good enough to deliver the speeds you’re being promised? Finally, as with any broadband deal check contract length, renewal terms and what happens if you move or change your usage.

Could not be better! Sign up process was simple and quick. The form only asked minimal information. Outside engineer came the next day to install the fibre to the outside of the house. The installer came exactly when the signup process said. He was quick and did a good job. Having come from Virgin Media this was all a bit of a shock. Quickline made things EASY. I would gove them more stars if I could.

Much better than the old copper telephone line. But unfortunately it sometimes drops out often for 2 hours at a time, but 10megs is alot lot better than 1meg.

Excellent option for quick broadband speeds where otherwise not available, speeds are impacted by the distance to the wireless transmitter, which also needs to be in line of sight. Speeds drop significantly during peak times. I am 17km from the transmitter and get 15mb connection dropping to 6 during peak times. This service costs ~£30 per month with initial setup charges of ~£200

A very good option if you don't have broadband via phone line. Peak time slowdowns are a significant problem, seemingly due to capacity issues.
