The company offers a range of fibre broadband packages designed to meet the needs of various households, from light internet users to large families requiring high-speed connectivity and reliable broadband for multiple devices.

Additional Comments

The provider offers several packages to suit different needs. Entry-level plans provide good speeds for typical browsing and streaming, while higher-tier plans offer near-gigabit connections capable of handling heavy usage across multiple devices simultaneously. Installation is included in the price, and GoFibre provides a high-quality router as part of the service, so customers can usually get started with their internet connection quickly without having to purchase extra equipment. Contracts are standard, typically 24 months, and the company strives to maintain clear and transparent pricing throughout the term.

Performance is one of GoFibre’s strong points. Customers in areas where the network is live generally report stable internet connections and consistent speeds. For many, switching from older fibre-to-cabinet or copper-based services to GoFibre broadband represents a significant improvement, particularly in homes where multiple people rely on video calls, cloud services, and high-definition streaming at the same time. The symmetrical nature of the full fibre broadband service means that uploads are just as fast as downloads, which is a major advantage over many mainstream providers.

Customer service tends to receive positive feedback. Many users note that GoFibre’s support team is responsive and helpful, with installation engineers often praised for being professional and efficient. Customers generally feel well informed during the sign-up and installation process, and most report that the connection is reliable once established. While some minor issues, such as scheduling delays or initial setup questions, are occasionally mentioned, these are not widespread and do not appear to affect the overall performance of the network.

The main limitation of GoFibre broadband is coverage. Because the company focuses on specific rural or semi-rural communities, the service is not yet available everywhere, and some potential customers may be outside the current network footprint. Where the service is live, however, it represents a modern, high-performance alternative to more traditional broadband providers, particularly for households frustrated with slower copper-based connections.

Disconnection from server, rang up and I was told we will keep you in touch by email and phone. My phone is VOIP so neither that nor email was working.

Problem this month with streaming services buffering. Tech support offered good advice but said they could not talk to my router, they set it up, and sent me datails of the setup. Check all these and found one difference, corrected but still no joy. Further conversation illicited that some boxes needed to be ticked. This worked. Updates sent which seemed to largely cure the problem. It also ensures that future updates can be sent online.

Had a problem with my router on Saturday and had to reset it. It then would not connect to the optical fibre box. Not surprising the information to set the router up had never been provided. Rang up and was told the office was closed but clearly not the case since they answered the phone. Eventually got through to someone on Sunday who made an appointment to visit on Monday. Nobody turned up. Had to ring again and got an apointment for Tuesday pm. Arrived late but phone to say delayed. Fixed the router and set the software so that if a reset had to be done again the router would automatically connect using software from the other end. poor customer service but good end result.

In general the service is good and maintains it's speed but they seem to have problems that require them to keep taking down the service. Several complete failures but they do not last long. Down side to phones over IP is that they do not work if the the link is down or there is a major power failure. A cellphone is needed as backup.

Getting breakdowns in service and they don't respond emails.

There has been a whole series of problems all of which have been easily fixed. The latest is that my BT dect phone did not work with the router so GoFibre sent out a test phone. This worked. The charge for the new phone would be £93 (retail is higher) so a good deal. The invoice stated it could be paid by BACS which it was. A few days later thy notified by email that they would take the same amount by direct debit. Fixed with a curt email but this does not say much for their Customer support.

Major problems with service since installation. Good response from Customer Service front end but not great contacting when problems fixed. Speed has dropped to half rated speed.

Contacted support once - turned out to be my error (I'd restricted the WAN port on my router to 100M-full many moons ago when Openreach-based ISPs could only offer me 33/8) but they were polite, helpful and even followed up after I'd spotted the error - which wouldn't have happened on their supplied router. Install day was exactly as you'd wish - polite competent gent turned up, all of the external & internal works were mounted competently (ie. straight/plum). Since install 6 months ago the connection hasn't been unavailable when I've wanted it. Planned outages (even planed possible outages) are communicated by both text & mail and I get the speed advertised (previously paying for 80/20, getting 33/8 when I left from 59/16 when I had FTTC installed). GoFibre are here at least 30 months before any published Openreach plans and my internet connection feels like it's in 4K instead of SD... to the point where the bottleneck is usually the wifi on the device rather than the shoogly bit of copper with more joints than an Amsterdam coffeeshop and all the crosstalk that comes with that making it progressively worse.
