Mountwood exchange on the Wirral sees Fibre First FTTP arrive

The Wirral has seen its FTTP coverage levels increase two percentage points since Sunday 13th December helped by the finding of Openreach FTTP in the Mountwood exchange. As of this morning FTTP coverage across The Wirral is 45.97%.

Mountwood is one of several hundred Fibre First exchanges but until this week has not seen any Fibre First roll-out that we have been able to spot and on Monday and Tuesday we found several areas where FTTP is available to order. Hopefully the vast majority of the other postcodes will see the service arrive very soon.

Remember that our postcode checker and package search is updated every day and so will often include postcodes that have not made it onto the maps.

It's good to see the mountwood exchange finally enabled. I just wish the same would happen for LVROC exchange I live between two new housing estates which already have it. Both sides are less than a mile away.

Parts of West Wirral Consituency had FTTP activated a few months ago. Unfortunatley my property sits on the boundary and so while my neighbour can get FTTP 1000mb/sec I am stuck with "superfast FTTC" only delivering 5Mb/sec :-(
