CityFibre full fibre arrives in Shenley Lodge on map and in pictures
Saturday morning saw the majority of the Shenley Lodge area of Milton Keynes get added to our broadband maps and parts of Shenley Brook. We can also bring you some pictures from the area as we were able to visit the area today to see what was visible from the roll-out.
We randomly just happened to be in the area so it seemed the ideal time to grab some pictures of what is visible in the street when CityFibre roll-out FTTP to an area. The area is a mixture of block paved paths, tarmac and some soft dig.
Some further pictures are:
We cannot guarantee that other CityFibre deployments will look identical but assuming the area was recently rolled out and not just a block we've missed off our maps for a year the pictures will give people an idea of what to expect when they see a roll-out start in their area.
Milton Keynes with 79.47% full fibre coverage is the second highest local authority for full fibre availability in the UK and we expect the figure to climb higher as both Openreach and CityFibre continue to roll-out in the area. Some 11% of premises in Milton Keynes already have a choice of actual fibre infrastructure provider. Kingston upon Hull wins the full fibre race at 99.03%.
