CityFibre Vodafone Gigafast roll-out adds 20,000 premises in two weeks

15 days ago CityFibre and the Vodafone Gigafast roll-out hit the 250,000 premises passed point and we highlighted that they will need to build at a rate of 10,000 premises every week to hit their aim of 1 million premises passed by the end of 2021.

14 days later the roll-out had risen to 270,106 premises passed and a quieter Friday saw this figure rise to 270,421 premises passed with the FTTP network which is currently being sold by Vodafone under its Gigafast brand.

Some of new 20,000 premises added include a good chunk of Newport Pagnell. Unfortunately still no sign of any live premises in the numerous cities where roadworks are happening, some of these may be expansion of the metro network and others may be part of the residential build but only time will tell.

Got the Willy Wonka golden (green) ticket through my door in Peterborough saying they'd be beginning installing the street fibres in the next 7 Leicester.

Cityfibre be trollin'.

I live in woodston and there has been a flurry of activity here. My road is in the middle of being done.

Hoping I can switch soon. Currently with VM 500MB

The groundworks are underway in Leicester already, just not my side of the City yet! Currently on M500 Virgin, renews in November, dont really want to commit to another 18 months if they are coming to our side of town any time soon!

I'm in Woodston, Peterborough too and my street was done in July. Haven't had anything through the door yet. Also on VM 500, which has been very patchy for the last few days.

@simonbee - which street are they doing? Check with your postcode, and select "Next two weeks" to get an indication of if/when your street is scheduled.
