June 2020 update on broadband availability across the UK, nations and regions

Our monthly updates on the state of the various broadband roll-outs across the UK continue and while the roll-out of basic superfast speeds is still slow the pace of the FTTP roll-outs appears to be accelerating. The UK only hit 14.02% on 30th May 2020, but five weeks later we are at 14.81% full fibre coverage with 15% set to appear in July.

Wales will pop out at people as its percentage figures have dropped, but this is largely down to a data sweep where we check the number of premises in the postcodes and correct accordingly. The actual number of premises covered by things like FTTP has actually increased. These sort of data checks take place periodically and Wales was one it seems we had missed out for some time. When we have a big a sweeps as this in the past it has been when the superfast roll-outs were adding 0.1 or 0.2 percentage points a month so it was not so obvious.

Is there anyway to have the first row of titles fixed/frozen for the, scrolling on a tablet or laptop and you forget what each column is and have to scroll back up.

Anything is possible in html, but the CMS makes that not so simple.

With sortable columns, search and ability to change table size is what I'd like to do.

Unsure how you do your checks, but it appears more of Ramsgate, Thanet, has gone live in the past couple of weeks (according to Openreach checker) but this is not updated on your map/post code finder.

Long list of places to check, so if something missing one postcode will be enough to send me in right direction.

Pattern seems to be we find nothing for months, then a few bits and it accelerates from there. Ramsgate had its few bits a couple of weeks ago.

Understand Andrew - CT11 0HD is an example, plenty more around this area. Roll out in Ramsgate area seems to be fully underway now after no progress for months!

Noticed Deal has a few postcodes added also which is good to see. On my travels I have not noticed any work in the areas of Sandwich or Eastry area just yet (these were on the rural roll out plan).

Sortable columns, search and ability to change table size Would be great, are you going to try implement this? Would make all the data easier to read on TBB.

Ramsgate and Deal have had more FTTP added to checker and maps.

@Andrew has Fleetwood (FY7) showed up with any FTTP yet? The vans have been in our area for about a month and been down my street about a week ago. Nothing on the BT checker yet.
