Plusnet partial fibre services join Black Friday Sale

Plusnet has updated its existing broadband offers for new customers in the Black Friday Sale period but is only offering extra inducements on the VDSL2/FTTC products. The offers run until 2nd December 2019 and are listed as 'from' since the prices shown apply in the low cost areas of the UK (which is the vast majority of households).

  • Plusnet Fibre from £21.99/m with £75 cashback and no setup fee. Average 36 Mbps download speeds. 18 month contract.
  • Plusnet Fibre Extra from £24.99/m with £75 cashback and no setup fee. Average 66 Mbps download speeds. 18 month contract.

The pricing is fixed which means the line rental and broadband will remain the same until the end of the 18 month contract, i.e. well into 2021. An end of contract reminder and review is promised towards the end of the 18 month period, which in line with other providers offering similar means you may get an offer to recontract at something like the new customer offer price in 18 months time or choose to pay a bit more and have the flexibility of not being tied to a contract.

PN stated: Sign up for our Black Friday deals and get your broadband and line rental price fixed until 2021. (but it was 18 months contract if sign up today mean until May 2022)

Look like price will go up after 2021 even if sign up 18 months contract - should be fixed price until 2022!

I must turn off auto correct. On writing Libdem manifesto item it was wanting to replace Democrat with Démocrate for some mad reason.

They are offering me Fibre extra for £20 a month, the problem is i would never get the higher speed, which is fine as it is still £12 cheaper, but i would have to keep a close eye on my contract so I can change back to the normal fibre at the end so I do not get charged full price for Fibre extra.

Ok, that £20 a month is just for broadband, it don't include line rental, crafty er, i did not go for it, good job i had a closer look. I can still get £6 off if I renew my contract, I will have a look around, but to be honest I doubt it is worth changing.
