Virgin Media up and running but website was having some issues - FIXED

Short item to say that as far we can tell there is no system wide failure of the broadband service at VIrgin Media. There are problems with the Virgin Media website specifically for those trying to order cable broadband as the checker is not working.

We have looked at both the speeds and number of tests we are seeing from Virgin Media customers and everything looks normal. Of course there will be the usual pattern of people with problems and when a company has millions of customers some with problems is to be expected.

Update 5pm: It looks like the problems have been fixed with the Virgin Media website.
