EE now has unlimited data phone plans
The competition between the mobile providers means there are now three of the major providers with unlimited data plan options with EE being the latest operator to join Three UK and Vodafone.
The new unlimited plans are available on both the 4G or 5G networks and start at £34/m for a 4G Phone SIM with no handset i.e. bring your own unlocked mobile to the party. For those who happen to have an 5G handset lying around (rare we presume) the 5G SIM only plan is £44/m.
For those with the money there are new phone bundles e.g. the Samsung Galaxy Note 10+ 5G is £84/m with unlimited 5G on a 24 month contract. The Huawei P30 pro is cheaper at £69/m with an unlimited 4G plan or you could have an iPhone XR for the same monthly cost on a 4G unlimited plan too. The Galaxy Note 10+ 5G seems to retail SIM free for £999, so buying the handset outright and opting for a SIM only plan looks to be cheaper (£1,815 versus £2,016 based on a 24 month term) if you can afford the upfront cost of the handset.
The 4GEE Home Router does not seem to have embraced unlimited yet though pricing has come down so the 500GB service on a 12 month contract is now £50/m rather than £70/m.
