Andrew Ferguson awarded an OBE in Queen's Birthday Honours List
We are very pleased to report that Andrew Ferguson, editor of thinkbroadband, has been awarded an OBE for services to the economy and broadband in the Queen's Birthday Honours list published today.
Andrew has been instrumental in our thinkbroadband labs local project to map broadband availability, take-up and produce statistics at national, regional and local levels. This has allowed us to provide insight into how the broadband landscape is evolving across the UK, and help councils, companies and individuals measure and track progress. Since then he has taken a wide role across our services and content.
Andrew joined us as a contributor in the early days in 2000 when broadband (or ADSL as it was back then for those without a Cable service) was just starting to be talked about. He was a volunteer for many years until joining us as a full time staff member and is one of the most recognised broadband industry commentators.
