Another seven Gfast exchange areas spotted with live pods
Residents in the seven exchanges areas Churchtown (Southport), Kensington Gardens, Plymstock, Pontypool, Royston, Seaham and Shirebrook now have a number of G.fast pods that are live and should be able to order the 100 Mbps to 330 Mbps ultrafast broadband service.
Our availability checker now has some 4,460 live pods in it, with a total of 1,272,729 premises within reach to receive a 100 Mbps or faster service. The total ultrafast Openreach footprint we know about as of 28th December is 1,918,488 premises once you combine the G.fast and full fibre service.

I were surprise that Openreach are still at work at xmas period?
Max, are you serious or just taking the micky?
@thinkbroadband What is the best way to email or message #thinkbroadband? To confirm with you about new GFast pods… https://t.co/fctIRN1psp
Take note, yet again everything in the south, what about north of London, places do exist up here we are not isolated villages, One day we may get fast broadband, I've only just thrown the modem away.
Last time I looked Shirebrook was just down the road, not anywhere near London or "the south" :) Plenty of pods not anywhere near London if you look at the TBB data.
You guys think you are lucky. I live in Scotland and we will get this in 5 to 10 years.Yes everything is for the south.
And 5 miles outside the centre of Leeds, I'm stuck on an Exchange Line that runs at about 0.5Mbps. :-(
