The Superfast 1 and Superfast 2 services from Vodafone may not have the speed options of the Gigafast services but are much more widely available and the monthly costs for new customers have just dropped.

  • Superfast 1 average download speed 35 Mbps, £20/m for Vodafone pay monthly mobile customers, £22 for new customers. 18 month contract, £9.99 upfront to cover hardware postage costs. 25 Mbps Ultimate Speed Guarantee.
  • Superfast 2 average download speed 63 Mbps, £25/m for Vodafone pay monthly mobile customers, £27/m for new customers. 18 month contract. £9.99 upfront to cover hardware postage costs. 55 Mbps Ultimate Speed Guarantee.

The Ultimate Speed Guarantee is based on the VDSL2 sync speed, i.e. the speed negotiated by the Vodafone hardware and the Openreach cabinet in the street, and if your sync speed falls below the level set for your service you can claim 15% back via the Vodafone app on your phone. So for those who have long VDSL2 lines the 15% off will be a regular feature so long as you remember to keep claiming the £3 refund.
