Free tech gift worth up to £199 with Vodafone Home Broadband

Vodafone Home Broadband has been the lowest priced FTTC service or close to being the lowest priced service for some months now and the battle for customers has just ramped up with the choice of a tech gift from four options.

Until 3rd September new broadband customers signing up to the Superfast 1 or 2 services can choose a gift from the following: GoPro HERO camera (RRP £199.99), Fitbit Charge 2 (RRP £139.99), Sonus Play:1 wireless speak (RRP £149.99) or an Amazon Echo (RRP £89.99).

  • Superfast 1 (average download speed 35 Mbps, based on FTTC 40/10 service), £25 per month for new customers, £1/m discount for existing Vodafone pay monthly mobile customers. 18 month contract. £9.99 postage charge. 25 Mbps sync speed guarantee.
  • Superfast 2 (average download speed 63 Mbps, based on FTTC 80/20 service), £29 per month for new customers, £1/m discount for existing Vodafone pay monthly mobile customers. 18 month contract. £9.99 postage charge. 55 Mbps sync speed guarantee.

Sync speed guarantee is based around the connection speed seen by the Vodafone router and if the sync speed is below the guarantee you can claim a 15% discount each month via the Vodafone app. The 15% discount means those with long VDSL2 lines will usually pay less per month.

Some feedback on our forums suggests that some people have found the Vodafone router to resync more often than other devices, but adding a VDSL2 bridging modem between the phone line and the routers Ethernet WAN port will often produce a more stable sync speed. NOTE: If you use your own VDSL2 modem you will not be able to claim via the sync speed guarantee since this is reliant on the Vodafone app scraping the sync speed directly from the Vodafone router.
