ADSL2+ from £18.99/m plus £50 cashback offer from Plusnet

ADSL2+ may not be the sexiest of the broadband technologies but it is the most widely available fixed line service and for all those who only use their connection for basic email and banking services then invariably it is fast enough, therefore the latest ADSL2+ price offer from Plusnet may prove tempting.

  • Plusnet Unlimited Broadband + Home Phone, from £18.99/m on a 12 month contract plus a £50 cashback cheque. Check Plusnet website for price in the small number of higher cost areas. Average download speed 10 Mbps utilising ADSL2+ technology. No activation fee and offer expires 4th June 2018.
  • Plusnet Unlimited Fibre Broadband + Home Phone, from £23.99/m on a 12 month contract. No activation fee. Check Plusnet website for price outside the low cost areas. Average download speed 36 Mbps utilising a GEA-FTTC 40/10 service. Offer expires 31st May 2018.

You need to follow the two above links to the right product to get the current offers.

Plusnet is rare in still offering a line rental saver option allowing you to pay 12 months of voice line rental in advance, which will reduce the monthly equivalent price even further, oddly the line rental saver is missing from the FAQ entries but a test order shows it is £197.88 as a lump sum payment, reducing the £18.99 line rental component to £16.49. This means that if you take the ADSL2+ service and pay the lump sum there is no monthly payment other than any phone call costs and factor in the cashback and the monthly equivalent drops to £12.32.
