Extra speed on some Community Fibre full fibre services

Community Fibre has announced a set of upgrades for both new and customers on its Fibre to the Premises network in central London.

  • Residential Basic £20/m goes from 20 Mbps download with 1 Mbps upload to 40 Mbps for both download and upload
  • Residential Ultrafast £35/m doubles from 100 Mbps to a symmetric 200 Mbps
  • Residential Gigafast £50/m remains the same at 1000 Mbps symmetric connection speeds

Signing up for a 12 month contract gives you a free standard install, or if you want no commitment a basic 1 month contract is available but you pay a £50 setup fee.

Business services are also available where pricing excludes VAT

  • 40 Mbps symmetric £40/m
  • 300 Mbps symmetric £80/m
  • 1000 Mbps symmetric £200/m

With Community Fibre set to expand to thousands of council premises in Southwark making the entry level superfast and thus definitely faster than anyones existing ADSL2+ services will help to ensure good take-up, and the upload which is double the best possible on VDSL2 and cable services will help to entice those across who value things like fast backups and cloud services.

Those are great prices for those speeds, I'd be very happy with a 100/100 service for £35
