Direct Save Telecom claiming cheapest line rental saver

The competition to appear at the top of price charts when ordered from low to high on price is driving the various offers and Tuesday saw Direct Save Telecom very keen to highlight their advanced line rental offer.

  • Unlimited broadband £1.95 per month
  • Line rental saver at £11 per month, if you 12 months in advance, usually £16.75 per month
  • 24 month contract
  • Set-up fee for all new customers of £33.90, includes £8.95 for router delivery
  • £50 discount card, which seems to be up to 25% off at a variety of stores
  • Broadband price increases to £14.95 outside their low cost area

Whether this is the cheapest deal in the UK is hard to say, over a 24 month period it maybe and that is the problem, 2 years is a long time to commit yourself to a broadband contract.

Never heard of them and not very many positive reviews for these them on various review sites.

What exactly are low cost areas as well?

It seems their unlimited broadband is also usage capped at 60Gb a month after which point they throttle your speeds.

They appear to have very hefty cancelation fees as well.
