£125 Sainsbury Gift Cards return on BT Infinity range

BT Consumer has published its offers for over the Christmas and New Year holiday season, which include a £75 Sainsbury Gift Card on ADSL2+ services, or £125 for an Infinity based service.

Previous offers have included various 12 month contracts, and these have been expanded to include the BT TV products too. Offers expire 7th January 2015.

  • Unlimited ADSL2+, 12 month contract, £7.50 per month for 12 months then £18 per month.
  • Unlimited Infinity 1 up to 38 Mbps fibre based broadband, £10 per month on a 12 month contract. After minimum term price is £23 per month. Includes £125 Sainsbury's gift card.
  • TV Essential with Unlimited Infinity 1, 12 month contract. £15/month for contract term. Full YouView PVR. £49 set-up fee. £125 Sainsbury's Gift Card.

As usual voice line rental at £16.99 per month is a requirement, line rental saver reduces the cost of line rental to £14.16 per month.

Nice deals, looks as if the unlimited infinity 1 actually pays you £5 to have the service! (excluding line rental).

Maths is not my strong point but I work out Infinity 1 at about £2.09pm for the 12mths, taking into account the £125 voucher, minus the £30 activation fee. Plus a £6.95 router postage fee too (not factored). Still very good value as long as you don't mind the hassle of cancelling at the end and going elsewhere.

Didn't notice the £30 fee (or router)!

The price of £10pm for Infinity only appears to apply to entirely new customers. If you already have a BT line then the price is £18pm.

@rbz5416

If its the same deal as the Black Friday one, you would still get it for the cheaper price. They re-provision(?) your existing BT line to sync with the monthly broadband payments.

@JP

Not convinced about that as if you go direct to the BT site rather than from the link above, you are asked if you are a new or existing customer. If you select existing then the price quoted is £18pm. Would be worth a call before placing an order (if only BT would answer the phone!).

Also details of the Sainsburys voucher are a bit sketchy. Seems you have to claim it rather than have it sent automatically & it's only valid in store. Possibly to be used in a single transaction?

The voucher text also expressly states new BT customers, not new BT broadband customers. So again donlt just assume that you'll get one.

Anybody still in doubt on the wording - I have a BT line and got the Unlimited Infinity 1 £10/ month deal as a new BB subscription.

@Yorkieair

Did you get the Sainsburys voucher too?. Thanks.

Related e-mail has voucher link but is clear can only claim after activation, which seems logical.
