Free fibre for six months and up to £150 gift cards from BT
The competition to get people to sign-up for the fibre based services is showing no sign of weakening. BT are now promoting a free Infinity 1 service (just pay voice line rental) for six months and a £125 Sainsbury's gift card or £150 if you add the TV Starter YouView package.
The current wave of Sainsbury's gift cards run until 17th November and the short summary that they are valued at £75 for ADSL2+ services and £125 on Infinity, adding a TV package increases the value to by a further £25.
The ADSL2+ products are also running with a 12 month contract offer, so the 10GB allowance service is £5/m across the contract term, and unlimited is £8/month. The price will rise at the end of the minimum term, but as many have found out if you are happy to chase and re-contract BT Consumer will often match the price of their current offers.
"Free fibre for six months"
I assume you are talking about copper-VDSL and not fibre here? Infinity 1 certainly is NOT a fibre broadband product. Neither is it free, it's most likely subsidised by the ever increasing line rentals.
