Sky starts offering NOW TV and broadband bundles

Sky has done its weekly offer changes, and the half price TV bundles have vanished to be replaced with a £100 reward, with a choice of how you accept the reward, either a pre-paid MasterCard credit card, M&S voucher or Tesco gift card.

Sky has been selling the NOW TV boxes for a while, but now free boxes are being bundled along with 12 months of passes with for £12.50/month (ADSL2+, fibre increases price to £22.50/month). The tag line for the promotion is that you can now have Sky TV without the need to put a dish on your home, which for those in rented accommodation or flats can sometimes be a sticking point. Voice line rental at £15.40 of course applies.

The up to 38 Mbps download fibre service has a promotion running with the first six months service for £7.50 per month, before it returns to its standard £20 per month.

I know that its only 2meg upload (some people like myself don't care), but £12.50 is Talk talk's normal price. Sky won't even compete with that spread over the first 12 months. I want to stick with Sky but its not easy when looking at Fibre options.

@joe_pineapples skys fibre is the 10meg upload (40/10) not the 2meg one that talk talk use, though as you say if you dont really care about upload then your right about price been more but you also have to remember sky dont shape or throttle in anyway i believe the talk talk simply broadband (2.50 ADSL /12.50 fibre) has quite a bit of traffic shaping i could be wrong on this but im sure last time i check it did so your kinda getting what you pay for with sky

I see TT has now gone up to £13.50 (still good regular price though). It does say 'totally unlimited' but admit I've never having looked beyond that.
