Sky Movies coming to BT TV platform

BT TV customers after October 26th will gain another subscription option, the ink is now dry on a multi-year deal between BT and BSkyB so that BT can offer 11 Sky Movies channels.

The subscription option will be available to those with both the BT YouView or Vision+ TV services as a bolt-on, alas no pricing information at this time. The agreement includes all the movies shown on Sky Movies Premiere, Sky Movies Showcase, Sky Movies Greats, Sky Movies Disney, Sky Movies Family, Sky Movies Action & Adventure, Sky Movies Comedy, Sky Movies Crime & Thriller, Sky Movies Drama & Romance, Sky Movies Sci-Fi & Horror and Sky Movies Select.

"We are delighted to have reached this agreement with Sky to enable our TV customers to enjoy Sky Movies and its superb offering of films for every taste, including the latest blockbusters.

We believe this gives a tremendous boost to our BT TV film offering."

Alex Green, director of BT TV

If there was a option to have a movie channel with BT Broadband instead of BT Sports then I may be tempted to switch to them. That's if the cost was the same and it was a good channel of course.

Much rather they concentrated on the software to get PVR features on existing channels, it.s like watching TV 20years ago at the moment.

I would much rather they concentrated on getting fibre to 100% of the country, and then fiddle with TV that is provided over those links, but hey... that is just me :D.

I wouldn't pay for SD channels, far from a boost, it just highlights what a lame duck the service is.
