EE publishes fibre broadband pricing
The slow change for Orange fixed line broadband customers is progressing with Everything Everywhere announcing their new fibre broadband prices, with Orange customers having to switch to EE if they want to remain loyal when switching to fibre based broadband.

ASDL2+ services have a 12 month contract, with the fibre based products carrying a longer 18 month contract term. The fibre broadband service has a promotion running till 30th November 2012, where the connection fee is half-price (£35). There is no information on the upload speeds, but seeing as the 40/2 service from Openreach is likely to be phased out in 2013, we assume EE is using the 40/10 product on its baseline service.
One potential area of confusion is the EE website insisting on a capitalisation throughout, that means some consumers may think its broadband speeds are Mega Bytes per Second when they are not - they are the standard Mega bits per second.
In terms of availability of the FTTC services, as EE are utilising the BT Wholesale network, their fibre services will be available to all those addresses where BT Infinity is also sold, and by not using LLU should avoid some of the delays that have hit Sky and TalkTalk in linking their unbundled hardware to the new fibre kit in some exchanges.

Good stuff, more ISP's offering FTTC, more choice for the customer
Looks like they are using BT Wholesale products to provide their broadband.
@infinidim
Errr yeah, thats what it says in the final paragraph.
@JttB I think some people thought that EE was going to roll-out its own fibre infrastructure.
That was never likely, another sign of over optimism.
Does anyone know if these prices will be discounted for orange existing mobile customers. Prior to the launch Orange has assured me there will be little change in price from the existing discounted prices they give on their current slower broadband products like HomeMax ??
had a emailshot from EE telling me about the new prices. I since talked to various people from Orange Sales and Orange Billing. Sales insisted they were the prices for everyone regardless if you are a mobile of customer or not. The Billing guy did not know and had to ask around but said to wait until the launch date as these prices may change ;o) As always .. Clear as mud !
@andrew the only backhaul providers likely to be an option for that are owned by rival mobile networks, in BE (O2) and C&W (Vodafone) respectively. I doubt they had any choice in the matter given the timescales!
The 76 MB/s Unlimited has gone up to £30 a month + Line Rental £14 within the space of a day.. The guy I spoke to today was from orange. There will be no discount for existing orange mobile customers
I was looking forward to being able to get fibre broadband when it becomes available on my exchange but its dead in the water for me at those prices.
EE have since revised their pricing. Everything has gone up with a £5/month discount being given to T-Mobile and Orange customers.

The prices are so high it gives you the feeling that EE (Orange) want out of the broadband market. Even their line rental is at £14 a month. Its cheaper with BT and they are expensive !!!
Whatever they charge a lot of punters will be very upset when their Freeview gets interfered with.
What a horrendous website, would put anyone off EE before they even get to the pricing!
I agree with you, it is very amateurish.. Do not look very professional at all. They should have that site re-design if they want to be taken seriously in this sector.
It will be traffic managed.
