Nokia leaves London WiFi trial, new sponsors appear
The free WiFi trial in Central London is set to continue, even though one of the three original companies involved is departing from the trial. The trial is based around free WiFi offered from Spectrum Interactive phone boxes and Selective Media now, and with the lose of Nokia at log in time to one of the hotspots users will be offered a voucher for a shop located nearby.
Mobile Europe managed to obtain a comment from Nokia about its exit, with the exit being attributed to the completion of the launch campaign for the Nokia Lumia 800.
Spectrum Interactive offers WiFi services not just in this London trial, but provides services for flybe, Virgin Atlantic, Premier Inn and Whitbread restaurants.
