Zen removes 40 Mbps product limit from four out of five fibre products

From the 9th May Zen Fibre broadband customers who are on Fibre Active, Pro, Office or Office Plus will see their current speed cap of 40 Mbps removed, meaning that many will see speeds increase, some getting to the dizzy heights of 76 Mbps. The upgrades will happen with no changes to the contract, and upstream speeds will also change to give a maximum around the 19 Mbps mark.

The Fibre Active (100GB download allowance) has had its price reduced slightly from £30 to £29.50+VAT a month (£35.40 inc VAT), which is competitive in the business realm particularly as a single static IP or a block of 8 static IP addresses are inclusive in the price.

The Technicolor TG582N wireless router that Zen Internet can also supply has reduced in price from £50+VAT to £35+VAT. The router is suitable for ADSL or ADSL2+ and the fibre products, as one of the four Ethernet switch ports can be configured to operate as an Ethernet WAN port suitable for connecting to the Openreach modem.

Zen customers on the Fibre Lite service will remain at their existing speeds, of up to 40 Mbps download and 2 Mbps upload.
