eXwavia backs the 'up to' campaign
It seems the recent changes to broadband advertising may have represented the tip of the iceberg, as momentum builds for a campaign that is calling for 'up to' broadband speeds to be partnered with 'up to' pricing. eXwavia a fixed wireless broadband located in Powys, Wales has put its backing behind the campaign, while highlighting that its own products do not feature 'up to' at all.
"The campaign by broadband lobby group WISPA makes sense. Too many ISP’s are advertising ‘up to’ speeds and many customers are led to believe that they will be able to get the top speed advertised.
ISP’s have already been warned by Ofcom that they must be clearer in their advertising of what speeds customers can get."Extract from eXwavia blog
eXwavia offers three product speeds (symmetric) to home owners, 4 Mbps for £20 a month, 8 Mbps for £28 and 16 Mbps for £42 a month, all three products are unlimited (subject to a fair use policy). The standard set up cost for the service is £999.60 (£833+VAT), which means for those in Wales the Broadband Support Scheme may be able to offer free connection if you can only get 2 Mbps currently.
