BT in search for best UK websites

We all have our favourite websites and BT Retail is carrying out a nationwide search to find the UK's top consumer websites. Nominations can be made in 17 categories until 7th November 2007 at www.btonlineexcellence.com.

Once the nominations close a panel will select what they consider to be the best 5 nominees in each category and the public will be invited to vote based on this shortlist. Nominating or voting for your favourite website will get you entered in a prize draw where the prize is a champagne balloon flight for two.

The seventeen categories are:

Books Celebrity Cookery
Electrical Environmental Fashion
Food Gardening Homes
Local Government Kids News
Online Retailer Search Travel
Video Wedding

If you are looking for suggestions of what to vote for, see the current top five current nominations in each category here.

What ridiculous choices of categories - local government? Wedding??? What about best techy site, best sport site, the sort of sites people actually visit regularly.

You were lucky, I did my nominations and could not upload and the radio button was dead.

What bloke looks at cooking, wedding, fashion, kids, food and gardening sites anyway. Typical BT, totally out of touch :(
