Tiscali TV set to expand its availability

HomeChoice with its TV and broadband packages has been offering TV over broadband since 2000, but only in a limited area of mainly Greater London. Tiscali has now announced the launch that should see the service available to up to 10 million homes around the UK by the end of 2007.

The TV service will offer more than eighty channels including Sky One which was removed from the Virgin Media channel line up earlier this year. Packages will start at £19.99 rising in price according to the combination of broadband and TV channels chosen.

With the roll-out of the service to much larger areas we should see the take-up increase dramatically from the current 50,000 subscribers which is a drop in the ocean compared to the almost 1.5 million broadband customers Tiscali already has.

I can't see living TV on there :| That is a must for me along with the range of emap music channels.

There broadband uprate is only 512k
The TV packages IMO only have the sky channels and the odd discovery channel as their saving grace, the rest i personally wouldnt watch much.
On the plus side the price isnt too bad, but to be honest i wouldnt touch anything Tiscali related and Virgin have turned to poop so if you want extra TV freeview or Sky are the only sensible choices left (again just my opinion).

You don't really need the music channels as HomeChoice provide VMX which allows you to make your 'own channel' just with the songs you like form the thousands available. i.e you make your own video playlist like on an MP3 player.

I've been logging my broadband speed for months. I've noticed ever since Tiscali started this TV package, my speeds have NEVER been the same, Slower and SLOWER.

OVER SUBSCRIBED come to mind.
