BT Wholesale migration promotion
BT Wholesale have announced a promotion which will take effect from July through September offering free service provider to service provider migration including changes from IPstream and Datastream End User Access products to IPstream Max, IPstream Max Premium, Datastream Max or Datastream Max Premium products. All orders must be submitted by service providers by 24 September and be capable of being completed within the offer period.
Please note that this promotion is for service providers and does not directly affect end user pricing.

BT Wholesale don't care what OS you have. BT Retail use ethernet routers that don't care either, in fact you avoid all their crapware if you just hook it up via ethernet and a browser.
Pardon my ignorance but could somebody explain where (if?) there is a benefit to the retail customer?
The advantage is that people upgrading to MAX at the same time as changing providers now cost the ISP less than a similar move to classic services.
The majority of people will benefit BUT those where their lines have issues with MAX will suffer as it will 'encourage' ISP's to move them to MAX without consultation.
We will continue to offer the choice of MAX or non-MAX at the point of order for all customers as we'd like our customers to get the best experience.
For clarification, Boggits is a representative of Entanet.
The retail benefit would appear if ISPs chose to pass on the saving or run a promotion. MaxDSL has fixed speed profiles available as part of the fault resolution process.
All should bear in mind that BTW are withdrawing all fixed rate IPStream services, so this is the start of a forced move to all users up to MAX - like it or not
To avoid any confusion, MaxDSL circuits *do* have fixed speed profiles available if required. These match the current fixed speed IPStream product speeds.
Sounds cool... but what is BT's policy regarding Mac OS X systems?
