Broadband News donates £110,000 to charity

Waitrose who are perhaps best known for their grocery stores, runs an Internet Service Provider with the undertaking that the profits from this service will be donated to charity. This charitable donation stands at £110,000 for the last year, with the money split between four major charities; British Heart Foundation, British Red Cross, Macmillan Cancer Relief and the Prince’s Trust.

Waitrose are offering the Max services which launched on 31st March 2006, with line speeds of up to 8Mbps. The Waitrose up to 8Mbps package costs £18.99 per month, and has a 5GB inclusive usage allowance, with additional usage costs of £2 per GB. Though to stop people having excessive bills a price cap of £59.99 in any one month exists.
