HomeChoice about to launch a 2Mbps service?
It would appear that HomeChoice who have a growing LLU userbase in North West London with their combined Internet and Video on Demand service are due to release a 2Mbps product around mid May for £50/month.
Further good news is that trials are under way on a new set-top box, that will have Ethernet connectivity. This then allows users to connect a wireless access point or router, i.e. the end of what for some is an annoying USB dongle.
Perhaps one caveat is that it appears from letters sent out to existing users, that there is a chance the 2Mbps service will have a download cap, but until full details are made public it will be impossible to say if the cap is reasonable or not.
