Rhu in Scotland RFS date delayed

The BT exchange in Rhu, Scotland was due to be on-line for ADSL today, but unfortunately in the last couple of days it has had its RFS date changed from 14th April 2004 to 28th July 2004.

The delay is being caused because of problems getting the existing fibre that is in place to work. This means a new cable will have to installed to the exchange, hence the delay. It is unfortunate that the change was only announced so close to the original RFS date, and lots of peoples dreams have being dash. Though missing the RFS date is a very rare occurrence.

Lets hope that a high priority can be given to this job, and the final switch to take place before July.
