Eleven more areas gain ADSL via partnerships
Over the weekend the demand tracker picked up seven exchanges that had been given a Ready for Service (RFS) date, and no-one appeared to know why. This has now been clarified and these RFS dates are the result of five partnerships between RDAs and BT Wholesale. The exchanges involved are:
As with many other partnership schemes the exchanges concerned are often well on their way to being enabled via BTs demand led scheme, the involvement of an RDA can shave many months or maybe years off that wait For people in the relevant areas it can only be good news, for those areas that did not even have a trigger it is even more of a surprise.
Lets hope these partnerships will see the success that ActNow in Cornwall has. The level of take-up in the ActNow areas has shown that demand is there, and with local input it can be stimulated.
