Top 10 Fastest Broadband ISPs for February 2003
Monthly results from our ISP Speed Test are out again. The shorter month of February saw the top three contenders maintain their fighting positions amongst a generally faster set of speed results compared with last month. In comparison to last month, every ISP in the top 10 has increased in speed apart from Freedom to Surf who slipped by roughly 2.5 Kbps average.
Our results are now accurate to one decimal place to help differentiate between closely matched providers. Congratulations to BT Broadband for rising 9 places and 26 Kbps average to secure 4th position, and Demon for climbing 4 places and 16 Kbps average to 8th place.
Please note that smaller ISPs may be excluded from this list due to a lack or absence of speed test data. ISPs are ranked by average downstream speed for 512Kbps connections with a minimum of 150 confirmed test results ("total" column). Also, these tests do not include any services offered at faster than 512Kbps such as Bulldog's PrimeTime services.

ISPs with a greater number of speed test results should be considered to be a more accurate representation of network performance. In addition, we urge our users to try our ISP Comparator which considers other factors such as reliability and customer service. Remember to ask in our Message Boards if you're choosing a new ISP!
