Next list of ADSL exchange 'ready for service' dates released

BT Wholesale have updated their ADSL demand tracker with a new batch of exchange service dates ranging from 30th April 2003 to 28th May 2003. Well done to all the campaigners in those areas who have worked hard to raise awareness of Broadband among the populace.

This brings the number of exchanges enabled or about to be enabled since the demand registration scheme started to around 140. Let us hope that 2003 sees this list growing in size rapidly and breaking the 400 mark by the years end. Love it or loathe it, the BT scheme appears to be the only one resulting in widespread Broadband rollout.

The exchanges announced today are:

Exchanges with a 30th April 2003 ready for service date
Bargoed, Caldy, Chorleywood, Combe Down, Connahs Quay, Dereham, Devizes, Dinas Powys, Ebbw Vale, Edenbridge, Fleetwood, Knaresborough, Littleborough, Nantwich, Naphill, Norwich Thorpe, Quorn, Sandiway, Woodbridge, Worcester St.Johns

Exchanges with a 7th May 2003 ready for service date

We should add that the ADSLguide demand tracker will not reflect the changes, until it has finished its daily update this evening. Also special thanks to the forum members for constructing the list, especially DaMuppet.
