Netgear DG834GSP / DG834N

To enable pings (ICMP echo request/response) follow the steps below.

  1. Login to the router using your web browser. (Type http://www.routerlogin.net, or http://www.routerlogin.com, or the router’s LAN IP address (default is 192.168.0.1) in the address field of your browser, and then press Enter).
    The default username is "admin" and the default password is "password".
  2. Once logged in on the left you will have a menu, scroll down to the "Advanced" section and select "WAN Setup".

  3. On the "WAN Setup" page locate the checkbox "Respond To Ping On Internet Port" (may also be called "Respond to Ping on Internet WAN Port") and make sure it is ticked and press "Apply"
