Oftel act against monopoly!

Oftel have found the courage to finally stand up against a monopoly in the telecom's industry the
FT reports today. Oftel feel that the 192 Directory Enquiries
service has been monoplised by each telephone provider only providing access to that provided on its own network.
It is a shame that Oftel can't pull their socks up and march down to BT's door and enforce some real regulation on them. I expect this latest action was in retaliation to complaints by Parliament
that Oftel are ineffectual. Attacking the 192 services only goes to strengthen the argument that Oftel are scared to take any action against BT.
