Monday 25 November 2002 17:49:00 by jez

BT Wholesale have released an update for local exchanges which have reached their trigger levels or are due to be activated under the Demand Tracking scheme:

Tottington, Danbury and Bradford on Avon
Initially announced in this news article, BT Wholesale have now confirmed the "ready for service" date of January 31, 2003 and the availability checker will be updated to reflect these changes accordingly.

Helensburgh, Kilsyth, Olney, Wivehoe, Bursledon and Matlock
These exchanges are confirmed to have reached their trigger levels and have entered the confirmation stage. Users should ensure that orders for broadband are submitted and/or checked with ISPs over the next couple of weeks.

Wymondham, Alton (Hampshire), Merthyr Tydfil and Inverness Culloden
Activation dates will be confirmed after these exchanges have reached the number of advance orders required. Merthyr Tydfil was granted another week while the Welsh Assembly worked to increase awareness of broadband and has now been added to the activation list.

St Budeaux, Maesteg, Adwick le Street and Rhiwderin
Exchange registration levels will be adjusted accordingly after a number of service providers concerned have removed recently discovered false registrations. These exchanges will not proceed into the advance order confirmation stage until further notice.
