The Register carries the news that BT has confirmed that Leek, Staffordshire; Bishops Waltham, Hampshire; Harrowden; and Kesgrave in Suffolk will all be ADSL enabled. The aim is to get the exchanges enabled by the end of 2002, or early in 2003.
Bradford-on-Avon, Buckley and Shaw are also close to getting the required number of advance orders. Additionally, Worle reached its target of 400 registrations last night, and should hopefully start collecting Advance Orders soon.
With eleven exchanges due to get ADSL as a result of the registration scheme, this is good news for people in those areas. In the grand scheme of things, eleven exchanges is almost nothing, lets hope that in a few weeks time it will be a regular happening for BT to be announcing an extra 3-4 exchanges.
