Where is Wrexham Norths campaign?
Tuesday 24 September 2002 11:40:00 by Andrew Ferguson

Wrexham North has also somehow managed to break its trigger point. There is a problem, the day before it was at 97 out of 400 registrations. If ever an exchanges registrations looked fake this is the one.

You can view the history of the registrations at www.broadbandleague.org. The steep rise has two explanations; either a campaign exists in the area and bulk submitted its data yesterday or someone with a phonebook and a compliant ISP submitted lots of false data.

Getting an exchange to reach its trigger point is worthless unless the registrants are willing to actually order ADSL.

If anyone has any firm information on this rapid rise then email andrew@thinkbroadband.com, it would be interesting to know exactly what has happened.

BT has noted some anomylous activity with the Wrexham North data and have requested Service Providers to validate the registrations.
