BT Wholesale community concept ADSL trial news
Wednesday 18 September 2002 22:34:00 by Andrew Ferguson

ADSLguide is led to believe that the Penryhndeudraeth and Corwen exchanges in Wales should have been ready for service around 11th September using Alcatel hardware. The two Scottish trial sites using Fujitsu hardware at Drumnadrotchit and Muir of Ord are due to come online around the 20th of September.

The remaining five or so exchanges are apparently pencilled in for activation in November and are likely to be using kit other than Fujitsu or Alcatel.

There is little information on the progress of the trials, this is like the original ADSL trials back in in 1998/99 when the only publicity was word of mouth.
