BT Wholesale announces marketing competition winners

BT has announced the 5 major winners of its BT Wholesale Marketing Grant Scheme. Each of the the winners will get £200,000 to use towards funding marketing campaigns for broadband services, runners up will still be eligible for smaller grants to allow for part funding of schemes.

The winners are:
Easynet
Colt
Centrica/Onetel
Albion (Netaxis)
Colloquium

From BT Wholesales previous marketing push with service providers in December 2001 there has been seven radio campaigns, thirty press advertising campaigns, five online campaigns and thirty five direct mail campaigns. Apparently 13% of all new broadband installations could be traced back to these campaigns. BT Wholesale is anticipating that this new scheme will bring in an additional 40,000 DSL customers.

Lets hope that a renewed advertising campaign while bringing in new customers on exchanges already enabled will boost the numbers of user registering on exchanges that are not currently enabled.
