Over £1 million to spend on advertising

This is the sort of sum that BT Wholesale is going to distribute to ISPs to help subsidise advertising campaigns. Full details on ZDNet UK.

Five ISPs will get £200,000 each, which ISPs will be decided by a competition for the best marketing idea judged by an independent panel. Also other ISPs are in line for grants of £50,000 to help in advertising ADSL. News on exactly which ISPs is expected in the next few days.
