BT Wholesale have announced that their recent multi-million pound broadband marketing campaign has produced excellent results. The campaign which involved ADSL ISPs receiving funds from BT included 7 radio campaigns, 30 press advertising campaigns, 5 on-line campaigns and 35 direct mail campaigns. BT states that by mid-July, 13% of all new broadband connections were directly attributable to these BT-sponsored initiatives and BT believe that its customers (the ADSL ISPs) will continue advertising on their own having seen the results.
Hopefully this positive view of advertising will further encourage BT to push forward with another campaign informing the public about the new pre-registration system to judge demand on exchanges that have yet to be enabled :-) [seb]
