Registration for ISPA Awards 2016 underway
Wednesday 02 December 2015 13:57:46 by Andrew Ferguson

The long path towards the 2016 ISPA Awards has started with registration across all the categories starting (except for Internet Hero & Villain). For those firms wanting to be considered for an award the categories and rules and entry form are online at

"The ISPA Awards are a great way to celebrate the true breadth and diversity of the UK Internet industry which plays a vital role for the UK economy. With the Internet now essential for consumers and businesses, I look forward to the tough testing and judging that will uncover the best providers in 2016."

Nicholas Lansman, ISPA Secretary General

The initial registration has to be done by 29th January 2016 with the deadline for the longer written entry forms being 25th March 2016.

2016 has three new categories Best Cloud Product, Best Marketing Campaign and Best CPE Hardware which will be decided by a panel of judges. The broadband, hosting and VoIP categories are all tested for a period of a couple of months to ensure that services entered meet the criteria and also to whittle down the large number of entries to a shortlist for the judging panel.

Decent broadband would be nice, you know, so I could actually use some of those products.

Yes, I agree 100% - I can't see any point in Best Marketing Campaign when the product they are promoting isn't available, when the Cloud Products aren't usable without a superfast broadband connection, or best value products that have their minimum prices fixed by Ofcom so are all the same.

If a product is not actually available at all then you can be sure the judges will spot this, no phantom service campaigns will win.

@professor973 They won nothing in 2015 so not sure what you are suggesting.

Quite simple - The level of awards they get compared to their dire customer service is a joke.

if i see giffgaff in there i be annoyed (if there is a mobile category) as there data is so broken at the moment its not funny

they are not buying enough capacity to feed all the giffgaff members, and its Not O2 network that is slow as i get 20-4mb on a O2 sim vs 0.1-1mb/s on giffgaff with the avg been 300kbs
